2018 TRID

This session will discuss common issues with TRID “classic” as well as an overview of the TRID amendments effective in June and October of 2018 which amends and clarifies many parts of the original TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures “TRID” Final Rule (2015 Rule).

Consumer Lending - Non-Real Estate

This presentation will cover non-real estate consumer lending requirements in Regulation Z including open-end disclosures, billing error notices, student lending, and credit cards.

Flood

This presentation will cover the scope of the flood rule, determining minimum flood requirements, notice requirements, NFIP maximums by property type, evidence of insurance, contents coverage, condominium coverage, record keeping, and penalties for flood violations. We’ll also be discussing the detached structure exemption, escrow notice requirements, force placement and required notices in respect to force placed flood insurance.

Lending to Service Members

Rules related to active duty servicemembers can cause a lot of confusion about who is covered and what protections the borrowers and their dependents have. Attendees will leave this presentation with a comprehensive understanding about the differences between the protections and coverage of the Military Lending Act and the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act.

Loan Officer Requirements: Compensation and the SAFE Act

This presentation will cover who your loan officers and mortgage loan originators are and what the requirements related to those positions entail. This includes a look at the Regulation Z compensation rules and the SAFE Act requirements related to NMLS registration.
