ELS Spotlight With Lauren Green

Lauren Green is a Loan Assistant for Simmons Bank in Clarksville/Russellville, Arkansas.

As a loan assistant, I key in and process commercial loans, start to finish. We collect financials, order appraisals and title work, and fund the loan to the customer. I handle asset quality, and assist the bankers with past dues and maturing loans.


What is the most important leadership lesson that you’ve learned?

Be kind always. Whether it’s when communicating with people or helping someone with something, I always strive to be kind. “Treat the janitor the same as the CEO”

What is the most effective daily habit you possess?

Organization. I think that is a key factor of being able to work effectively and manage your time.

What is the greatest advice you have ever been given?

“Be a sponge and absorb any knowledge or opportunity to learn life throws at you.” I try to live by this.

What does effective leadership look like to you?

Effective leadership to me means being a part of the team, and to continuously be willing to jump in wherever needed to make sure everyone succeeds together.
