ELS Spotlight With Cami Goodell

Cami Goodell is the Business Development Officer for Chambers Bank in Conway, AR.

Being in Business Development is a lot of fun because I love meeting people and identifying how I can help them. I know my calling in life is to help people in my community. I strive to establish new relationships built on trust and loyalty every day. My job is to take care of each customer and identify any financial needs to make their life easier. I am very blessed to work for an employer that puts such a great emphasis on customer service.

What is the most effective daily habit you possess?
The most effective daily habit I possess is making a list of small goals I would like to achieve that day. I never leave the office until I have completed my goals for that day. I have found by doing this for myself, I stay more focused on the tasks at hand. I also always follow up with emails or calls before the day ends simply out of respect for that person.

What is the most important leadership lesson that you have learned?
One of the best leadership lessons I have learned is to never stop finding ways to be better. Never be satisfied to where you stop growing as a person! Make sure your team is growing with you as well. Always follow up with your customers. Take constructive criticism along the way and let it motivate you to be the best you know you can be.

What is the greatest advice you have ever been given?
I have been given a lot of great advice, one that sticks out to me the most is from my husband “Rome wasn’t built in one day”. I say this to myself daily. My personal and career goals will not be achieved in one day, just as my relationships with customers will not either. If you plant the seed, the seed will grow. It takes time to build something great. I will continue to strive to build a relationship with our community in Conway with Chambers Bank in the best way I know possible!
