ELS Spotlight: Chris A. Tackett

Chris A. Tackett is VP/Commercial Lending at Today's Bank in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

I have worked for the bank since 2008, starting out as a teller/CSR and working my way through loan assistant to consumer and commercial lending. Portfolio management and business development are the top priorities of my position, however an assortment of necessary administrative tasks are also important parts of my typical work day. I have learned a lot from working at a small community bank where opportunities abound for involvement in various projects and tasks that are typically not available to lenders in larger institutions. Also, customer retention and service is a major priority for smaller banks who face fierce competition from larger banks.
