ELS Spotlight With Marshal Pilgreen
Marshal Pilgreen is Senior IT Operations Administrator for First Financial Bank in El Dorado, Arkansas.
I work on projects that give our employees a better experience with technology at the bank. From automation and process streamlining, I keep myself busy with large projects throughout the year. I work to maintain our internal systems and work with our vendors on project implementations. I also assist the Network Administrators and PC Support staff when they are having difficulty resolving issues. Personally, I enjoy spending time with my son, disc golf, working out with friends, and traveling.
What is the most important leadership lesson that you’ve learned?
Earn respect by being honest, owning your mistakes along with your successes, being patient, and treating others how I want to be treated.
What is the most effective daily habit you possess?
Planning out my day for success has been a habit of mine for years. I strive to not overwhelm myself and focus on the top 2 or 3 things that must get done that day. Keeping a positive attitude and loving what you do makes coming to work every day and joy and not a burden.
What is the greatest advice you have ever been given?
Whatever you do, do it with all of your heart.
