ELS Spotlight With Tori Bogner

Tori Bogner is VP/Marketing for Signature Bank in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

My role allows me to work with marketing, advertising, public relations, and community engagement efforts on the bank’s behalf.

What is the most important leadership lesson that you’ve learned?

To be a good leader, you have to first learn to be a good follower.

What is the most effective daily habit you possess?

I always feel like I have a more productive day when I get up and work out in the morning. The pandemic threw me off a bit from getting that gym time in, but I was able to find a great app to help me keep up with a regular yoga routine from home!

What is the greatest advice you have ever been given?

You have one mouth and two ears for a reason. Listen twice as much as you talk.

How has leadership changed in 2021?

The pandemic has forever changed how we do business and interact with one another. In 2021, I feel like leadership looks more like meeting people *where they are* rather than calling for a meeting. Is someone going to enjoy having a cup of coffee bought for them, or meeting over Zoom? Time is so precious, allowing someone to avoid a 20 or 30 minute drive each way to have a meeting is a new form of respect.

The ELS Spotlight is an ongoing series to highlight our Emerging Leaders from around Arkansas.
